Celebrating 50 Years of Front Range Community College

Rootles Hunt at FRCC

To help the celebrate the 50th anniversary of Front Range Community College, Rootles is designing a treasure hunt that will find teams of four solving clues leading to different locations on the Larimer Campus.  Teams that submit their solutions to these puzzles will be entered into a drawing for Bluetooth speakers (and other prizes) for each student team member at the end of the hunt on September 19th.

Clues will be released daily at 9:30AM on the Rootles website and will involve puzzles of different types.  These clues/puzzles require solving by teams to determine where on campus each clue's solution can be found.  Each clue's solution could be a straightforward as a quote or name or it may be a series of collected letters.  Support and solving strategies for each clue will be available throughout the hunt and answers to inquires made through the Rootles website by any team will be available to the rest of the hunt participants.

All of the clues will lead teams to locations within the boundaries of FRCC and will require teams to “confirm” that they've been there by collecting and submitting information from that location.  Each team that completes the hunt will be eligible for the grand prize, but correct submission from each clue will earn the team a bonus entry. An additional team entry, may be earned by a team that donates one food item per member, during the hunt, in the box at the Student Life Office in Longs Peak - make sure to notify someone in the office as you're making your donation.

The hunt will begin on Wednesday September 12th with clues posted each weekday until the hunt concludes on Wednesday September 19th. Final submissions will be due by 10AM on the 19th.  The winning team will be announced at 1pm at the Involvement Fair between Long Peak and Blanca Peak on the 19th.
